Fruit Case Online Video Slot Review

Fruit Case Online Video Slot Review

November 20, 2015 Off By Dan James Pantone

Developed and produced by NetEnt, Fruit Case is an online Video Slot game based on the ingredients and activities involved in making jam. The reels are set in a jam factory, with different fruit-based characters acting as the base game’s higher-value symbols. These include a Pear, Lemon, Orange and Strawberry decorated with cartoonish faces, which add to the light-hearted feeling of the Slot machine.

The usual playing card values represent the lower-value symbols, and have been placed on the labels of different jam jars to take the theme even further. The sound effects are typical of a Slots machine and will immerse players in the game, as will the animations that punctuate successful line-ups.

Facts and Figures

Fruit Case features 5 reels and 20 paylines. The reels can be spun for real money, in which case there is a theoretical RTP of 96.4%, or for free which allows players to practice and feel comfortable before putting any real stakes down.

When real money is being used, the minimum coin value per payline is 0.01 and the maximum is 0.5. Up to 10 coins can be wagered on each active line, meaning the betting range is 0.2 to 100 and can be made using Pounds, Euros or US Dollars. For busy players who want to get the maximum spins in the minimum amount of time, it’s also possible to activate the AutoPlay feature and let the reels keep spinning on their own.

Special Symbols and Features

Every winning line-up in Fruit Case triggers the Avalanche Feature, where rather than the reels spinning, symbols fall into place. The Wild Symbol is the game logo, which acts as a Multiplier when an Avalanche is triggered and increases every time the feature is reactivated. Only 1 Wild multiplier can be applied per line, and it can increase winnings up to 8 times over as it is triggered and retriggered. The Wild Symbols, which appear on Reels 2, 3 and 4 only, can also stand in for any regular reel symbol to create winning combinations.

The only icon that the Fruit Case Wild can’t substitute for is the Free Fall Scatter Symbol, which features a Blender and the words Free Fall. These can be scattered anywhere on the reels, and are not limited to paylines, to activate their wins. The symbols do need to appear in succession though, starting from the leftmost reel. When 3 or more appear, the Free Fall Bonus Feature game is triggered. It should be noted that although the Wild Symbols can’t be used in place of the Scatters to create their paying combinations, they can act as replacements to trigger the Bonus Game. If 2 Scatters appear on Reels 1 and 3, for example, with a Wild on Reel 2, players will be taken to the Bonus Game.

During the Free Fall Bonus Game, players are awarded 10 Free Spins, which can be retriggered by another successful Scatter or Scatter/Wild line-up during the Free Fall game. Winning bet lines during the Free Game will trigger an Avalanche, just as in the base game. Except on bingo hall, the same rules apply, meaning the Wild Symbols act as Multipliers up to 8 times over during an activated Avalanche. When all Free Spins have been used, players are returned to the base game and their Bonus Round winnings are added to their prize total.
